Complete Anilox Roll Inventory Inspection
Since 2025, we have offered a complete anilox roll inventory cataloguing service for printing companies.
Why inspect your complete anilox roll inventory?
Budget planning
The inspection provides up-to-date cell-volume data for every roll in your inventory. You will know exactly
which rolls need replacing this year and which ones will need replacing next year.
Cost savings
We determine precisely whether a roll is physically worn or merely contaminated. Contaminated rolls can be cleaned. Restoring a single roll can save your company from $3,500 to $8,000 in replacement costs.
Digital roll records
All information collected while cataloguing your inventory will be uploaded to your LaserEcoClean Customer Portal. This includes all roll parameters (lpcm and cell volume), surface micrographs at magnifications up to 800×, and records of chips and scratches.
Roll supplier performance monitoring
Inspecting your roll inventory once or twice a year and using the Customer Portal allows you to create
a cell-volume degradation curve
and determine how quickly an anilox roll has lost its original specification.
Longer roll service life
The damage map
can be used by the prepress department when preparing jobs that do not use the entire anilox surface.

What exactly do we do?
The inspection is performed in your presence. Our specialist shows the condition of the cells on screen in real time, takes measurements and explains why a roll is considered worn. You can verify our results independently using any method available to you.
You can later generate a list of defective rolls in the Customer Portal, plan replacements, or use damaged rolls for suitable print designs.
You can keep the condition data for your rolls up to date in the Customer Portal.
Once you know which rolls need replacing soon and have planned the budget, you can order replacement rolls before print problems occur.
This reduces press downtime caused by worn anilox rolls.
If a roll has no identification, we can add it using engraving, stamping or a magnetic tag. Magnetic tags provide a flexible way to identify rolls quickly and update current cell-volume information as the roll wears.
